LEGEND OF ZELDA: LIFE METER SHOT GLASSES

Rockhart released a set of four shot glasses with pixel hearts for gamers to display their life and intoxication meter. At the bottom of each glass is a pixel skull to signal that it’s game over for that beloved shot and game on for you.

Remember to drink responsibility or you might wake up in the middle of Termina with one hell of a hangover transformed into a Deku Scrub or without pants. Not that any of those things have ever happened to anyone on staff before….*cough* Eric. *cough* The Legend of Zelda inspired shot glass set is $33.

THE BROTHERS RAPTURE (A BIOSHOCK SHORT FILM)

Here’s another great example of a group of fans taking a video game property and turning it into an amazing fan film exactly like we discussed in our recent episode of Gut Check. The Brothers Rapture is a short film about two brothers who travel to Rapture and learn the true cost of art and power without boundaries.

If you enjoyed the soundtrack in this short film, here’s a link to download the haunting music of The Brothers Rapture from the production’s Bandcamp free for a limited time.

FAR CRY 3 BLOOD DRAGON FOR SEGA GENESIS

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon was a fantastic game and some of the most fun I’ve had with a game since last year’s Double Dragon Neon. It appears I wasn’t alone in my enjoyment of the game either!

After watching a trailer for the game, Joe Valenza was so inspired by the game’s retro awesomeness, he only thought it proper to give the game the 80s box art it deserved.

And since Nintendo wasn’t putting mature games on their console, it makes perfect sense that he made the box art for the Sega Genesis.
